I love infants at 5 months and am looking forward to this upcoming month with my little Brookey. She is at the age now where she is getting more independent but is still so cuddly and cute. My favourite thing is waking up in the morning and seeing her smiling face waiting for me to get her from her crib. My other child is a little grump in the morning, so she is a nice balance haha.
This last month was a good one. She is loving her little blobby life. She enjoys seeing Bennett and it doesn't matter what he does to her...if it's attention from him, she takes it. A good example of this was the other day when he was KICKING her in the face. It was gentle but still not the nicest thing in the world. Brooke didn't mind though, she would smile in between kicks {with tears in her eyes} and let out a little laugh. It was so funny to watch, Bennett obviously thought so. I think he was amazed as to why she was so happy for him to be doing that. My sister also caught a really sweet moment the other day too where Brooke was crying and Bennett got up on the couch and just stared at her/put his head on her lap until she stopped. In the end he had her smiling at him. It was ADORABLE people. These blobs of mine are just so cute.
We are heading to England next month with them both and I can't wait! Brace yourselves for that blog post, it will be a big one!
Now onto the 5 month stats :)
WEIGHT: I don't know! I haven't weighed her yet this month but will update this blog as soon as I do! UPDATE: Brooke is 16.6 lbs! Bennett was 16 on the dot so they are evening out now.
ROUTINE: Her routine is coming along quite nicely. She sleeps a few times in the day {usually at least once in the AM and once in the PM} and then goes down for the night around 10 pm. She tends to wake up around 6:45 when Ryan is getting ready for work. He usually just gives her a little kiss before he goes and then I just let her fall back asleep. She then will wake up around 8 for the morning.
EATING: She is still on her formula about 5 times a day. This girl has no trouble getting that stuff down!
MILESTONES: This child is rolling!!! It is with great encouragement but she can now roll from front to back. The other day she also did this random roll from back to front but has yet to do it again. My children both like to make me wait a little longer for their milestones haha. I have also been trying to get her to sit up but that is something she just isn't interested in yet. Even sitting her upright on the couch is a task. She much prefers to just lay down and rest. If we sit her up on our lap facing us, she usually ends up in a weird crouchy position on her knees about an inch away from our face. It's entertaining at least :)
Now for her 5 month pictures :)
and as always, the five month comparison....
