England holiday eve!

Well we are finally upon the eve of our England holiday! We leave tomorrow and I have about 1000 things to do buuuut I still wanted to come on here to do a quick blog post! I am actually skilled at putting things off but I am also amazing at working under pressure, so it works haha.

I am so excited for this trip as it marks our first holiday to England as a family of four. I have taken the blobs by myself but Ryan has always stayed back to work. He works really hard so deserves a break once in a while :)

For our trip my parents have booked for us to stay a week in the East of England in a beautiful thatched roof cottage. It's by the coast so we will visit our favourite coastal towns like Aldeburgh and Southwold. We also are by a famous castle which I hope to get to at some point over the week we are there. The main thing Ryan is excited about is that we are only a mile from the local pub haha.

After we get back to my parents we are planing to have a lovely Easter weekend {Brooke's first Easter!} and hopefully get alot of shopping and eating in. Probably a day in London as I am LONGING to take Ryan to the Tower. I also want to make note that this will be the FIRST Easter I am not pregnant since 2012. Strange!

I will try and do some updates while we are in England but if I don't, get ready for a very long one when we return. Right now I must get back to getting ready, I am crying right now thinking about all the laundry that needs to be folded, sorted and then packed.

Bon Voyage {to us}! xxx

Brooke is half a year old!!!!

My precious little babe is 6 months old! Yay for half a year!!

To celebrate we went out for pizza {any excuse to eat at Double Zero} and then got home and gave the babes a bath. Exciting, I know! She turned 6 months on Friday the 13th which was kind of cool as well.

Brooke is doing amazing, she is such a sweet, sparkly little girl. She loves her two dolls and Bennett. That is pretty much what entertains her most of the day. It's amazing to see how much she tries to get Bennett's attention. Usually she achieves it by doing this little fake cough. Then, if he even so much as glances in her direction when hearing it, she flashes him the BIGGEST smile and laughs. ADORABLE!

This is her doing her fake cough haha
She is now big enough to go in her exersaucer which gives me more hands free time. Bennett will stand beside it and kind of play with it too. So they get some good interaction there. Her hair started to "sprout" this month and it looks a little darker than Bennett's! I am curious to know if she is going to have curls like him too.

Anyways, here are her stats!

Weight: 17.1 lbs. She is officially a little smaller than Bennett was at this age! So far she has been ahead of him {at the same age} every month since birth. This is still what we refer to as the "meatball" stage. Both Bennett and Brooke shot up on the weight scale at this age and lagged behind on the height scale. Like I am talking in the 90th for weight and below 20th for height. Actually Bennett was like 1% for height haha. My short chubby little meatballs!

Routine: She sleeps in her crib through the night, most nights. Occasionally I will still pull her into our bed if she gets restless in her sleep. Her crib is in our bedroom but it will be moved into the nursery with Bennett when I know she wont disturb him.

Eating: I am behind with starting the solids. That will happen maybe during our trip to England. In the meantime she is on her stage 2 formula still about 5-6 times a day.

Sizes: 6-9 month clothing!

Milestones: Have I ever mentioned my children are in no hurry to meet milestones? Well this month proved no different haha. Brooke can roll but usually chooses not to. She is also getting a stronger back too, so we can see her becoming more confident at sitting up with help. Brooke and Bennett are very similar in ways but different in others. He was so strong at this age and made alot more noise. She is definitely a more gentle girl compared to her brother :)

Here are her six month shots! Happy half a year my little girl!

and the comparison between these two........

Just a thought....

Hi all!

We are nearing Brooke's 6 month birthday!! So I will do a post on that later this week but today I wanted to jot down a little thought that has swirling around in my head lately.

Every female knows that its sometimes hard to get along with other females. I kind of view us like cats and view men like dogs. You can put any two dogs together and they just enjoy each others company! Put two different cats together though and you will have a hard situation on your hands. Sometimes they get along, sometimes they don't. It's the weirdest thing, they are the same species right? But their cattitudes always get in the way haha.

I find that with other women its the same thing, there is alot of back talk and judgement. I have felt this especially since having children. Other women are so easy to judge you and be mean about things that you chose to do. Even at the shops I have had random people ask me if my baby is dressed warmly enough or why they are eating chocolate cookies {cookie club is made for Mum's to have peaceful shops...just saying}.

So anyways, my point to all of this is that there is no reason for people to be like this other than insecurity. I try and remember that and try my best to be as nice to everyone as I can be. Why not? Do you really want to be horrible, what does that achieve in the end? Woman need to start working well with each other rather then making each other feel worse.

That being said, I also wanted to note that we went to a bachelor finale party last night at my friends house. It was full of woman and we all got along really well {go figure!}. I like when woman make each other feel good about themselves! Anyways, both blobs came with me and Carly and were very well behaved! My friend made bachelor bingo cards which was super fun as well. Then we all got red roses as a parting gift. Best thing about Mondays is The Bachelor haha.

Anyways, thanks for listening to my little rant! Here is a picture of us from lastnight :) xxx
